Elizabeth Robertson Hornsby, Ph.D., is an educator and consultant specializing in academic innovation and strategic alignment. 

With two decades of experience, she helps colleges and universities integrate micro-credentials, industry certifications, and Open Educational Resources (OER) into their curricula. Her work with institutions leverages her PAIR framework — Purpose, Assessment, Integration, and Relevance — to align academic programs with workforce demands. 

Dr. Hornsby has collaborated with Coursera, co-presenting at major conferences like SACSCOC and the Badge Summit and speaking to over 15 colleges and universities on integrating industry-recognized credentials from companies like Google and IBM. This expertise positions her as a leader in bridging the gap between higher education and the modern workforce. 

She is currently an Adjunct Professor of Communication at Southern University at New Orleans.
