The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) at Georgia Tech is currently offering STEAM-focused Saturday programs for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Expanded Learning Programs teams in Atlanta and Savannah are coordinating these efforts.

These programs are designed to inspire and engage elementary, middle and high school students in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) through interactive learning and activities that promote creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.

“Our goal is to create an inclusive and stimulating environment where students can explore their interests in STEAM and develop critical thinking skills,” said CEISMC Senior Program Director Sirocus Barnes. “The Atlanta programs offer unique opportunities for students to engage with cutting-edge technology and innovative projects.”

The variety of experiences are tailored to different age groups and interests, highlighting the local environment and community. Students engage in robotics, coding, environmental science, and more. K.I.D.S. Club for grades 2-5 and STEAM Workshops for grades 6-12 are offered in Atlanta with STEAMlabs for grades 1-8 held in Savannah.

“These Saturday programs are a fantastic way for students to engage with STEAM outside of the traditional classroom setting,” said CEISMC Senior Program Director Tim Cone. “We look forward to seeing the creativity and enthusiasm that students bring to our sessions in Savannah.”
