Academic Program Offerings
The College of Lifetime Learning is engaged in an extensive portfolio of non-traditional learning pathways to support learning across a lifetime.
The College is now building rigorous, credit-bearing courses, degrees, and academic programs to design and lead the future of how the world learns.
For the 2026-2027 calendar year, the College is offering a Minor in Learning, courses associated with learning systems, and project/program management courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
As part of the College of Lifetime Learning’s Strategy 2035, field-defining graduate degrees and programs will be introduced next followed by an undergraduate degree and additional programs.
Disciplinary Areas
Coursework features highly interactive learning environments, access to pioneering research and industry expertise, and focuses on three areas:
Learning Sciences
Cognitive, developmental, and motivational aspects of learning across the lifespanLearning Technologies
AI, analytics, and technology-enhanced learningEducational Business Models and Policy
Leadership, business models, and policy that support lifelong learning at scale
Minor in Learning
The College’s first credit-bearing academic credential, the Minor in Learning, is launching in Fall 2026 and offers students a foundation in how people learn and how effective learning environments are designed. Created in partnership with the School of Psychology, the minor blends learning science with applied design and equips learners with the skills to create impact in numerous fields.
The Minor in Learning helps students understand how people think, grow, and learn over the lifespan, as well as how to leverage those insights into meaningful educational experiences in classrooms, workplaces, and communities.
Courses supporting the minor are part of the College’s new undergraduate offerings and are open to all students.
