gallagher headshotSean Gallagher has dedicated his 25-year career — as a consultant, senior university administrator, and faculty member — to advancing innovative models in higher education. 

He is currently a director at Huron Consulting Group, where he works closely with universities and commercial providers on strategies for online education, lifelong learning, and alternative credentials.

Previously, Sean served as chief strategy officer at Northeastern University and founded the Center for the Future of Higher Education and Talent Strategy. 

In addition to authoring numerous articles and reports on digital learning, he wrote "The Future of University Credentials," published by Harvard Education Press. Sean has served on advisory boards for a range of alternative credential initiatives and forums led by organizations including UPCEA and NECHE. 

He holds an Ed.D. from Northeastern University and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology.
